“Stars for Tomorrow,” the annual benefit for the Pasadena-based organization Stars (formerly Lake Avenue Community Foundation), was attended by nearly 250 people and raised more than $150,000, both of which were record-setting figures, according to Executive Director Nancy Stiles. Lisseth Rojas-Flores was the evening’s honoree, and Steve and Christina Streit hosted the event at their lovely home. Asuncion Ridge Vineyards and Patti’s Way Charitable Foundation were premier level diamond sponsors; the Cunningham family, Kathy Gibson, John and Deanne Lewis; and David and Mary Sue Scheidler were ruby sponsors.
Stars’ mission is to “unleash the God-given potential of youth from vulnerable communities, providing the tools necessary for them to thrive academically, economically, emotionally and spiritually.
